PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To embrace the effective message of “Art of Elysium,” the new headquarters will be an uplifting and creative environment to engage participants in the experience of expressing themselves. The opportunity of learning how to dance, sing, act, film, paint, or design will allow the user to be present and temporarily put aside their life struggles. Fundamentally, this is a space to raise awareness of the organization and stimulate ingenuity from visitors
GOAL: The “Art of Elysium” is a non-profit organization built on the idea that through service, art can become a catalyst for social change. Art of Elysium provides therapeutic art services in a variety of genres to individuals amid difficult emotional life challenges like illness, disability, hospitalization, displacement, confinement, and/or crisis. Typically, this demographic consists of people of all ages from, children, to seniors. Therefore, the goal is to design a space that reflects the Art of Elysium’s mission statement, “We empower artists and communities of need to join together and emotionally triumph over their circumstances through art.
CONCEPT: The headquarters will consist of an inspiring color palette, references to the arts, and sensory moments to keep the users interact with their environment. Users should perceive this space as a place to touch and feel. Therefore, to embrace the message of “Art of Elysium,” the new headquarters is an uplifting, creative and stimulating environment to engage participants in the experience of expressing themselves through therapeutic art services.
