75 9TH AVENUE, NEW YORK, NY, 10011
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: À La Saison is a transformative dining experience that appeals to the five sensations with the power of Mother Nature’s cookbook. The founder, Alain Passard is an award-winning French chef with three Michelin Stars and owner of the famous “L’Arpege” in Paris. Passard almost entirely cooks with the fruits and vegetables he grows himself in a suburban garden outside of Paris. Therefore, he only creates his dishes around the season, changing the recipes depending on what his garden has to harvest. These meals are engineered to be more than flavor on the tongue; it explodes with texture, scent, sight, and sound.
GOAL: Design a restaurant that reflects the culinary mastery of Alain Passard by providing exposure to a foreign and organic dining experience to the urban New York City clientele.
CONCEPT: À La Saison is a dining experience curated and designed to emulate Passard’s gastronomic philosophies while emphasizing the stimulation of the five senses. The space is orchestrated to appeal to the customer with the aroma of fresh food, the gentle sound of classical music and dining, the sight of bold design, and the feeling of warmth and excitement.
